What is your favorite thing about ballet? What inspires you about it?
My favorite thing about ballet is portraying the lives of different characters within ballets and performing on stage in front of an audience. What inspires me about ballet is the individuality each dancer brings to each role.

What are your plans after high school?
My plans after high school are to join a professional company.

What are your dreams/goals in life?
My dream in life has always been to be a prima ballerina one day; my goal is to reach that dream.

Who has been your biggest fan and has given you the most support?
My parents are my biggest fans and give me the most support. I appreciate everything they have done for me, without their support I wouldn't be where I am today.

Why did you want to participate in Spotlight?
I participated in Spotlight for the experience to help me grow as an artist.

What other skills or talents do you have that other people may not know about you?
I enjoy making tiaras, it's something I figured out how to do and I like the aspect of making something I would have otherwise bought.

What qualities do you believe helped make you into the successful artist that you are today?
I have devoted my whole life to ballet from an early age. Dedication is the quality that has helped shape me into the artist I am today.

What advice would you give to a student who felt they might not be ready to do spotlight?
Advice I would give to a student who felt they might not be ready for Spotlight would be to go ahead and participate for the experience. Everyone involved in this program has been very encouraging and supportive. Spotlight has helped me grow as an artist and I am very thankful for the opportunities it has given me.
